Murray Districts Black Powder Open

2019-05-26

The Murray Districts Pistol Club held its first ever open on 18th May. 15 competitors from 6 clubs attended and shot the Black Powder 25m Aggregate and Black Powder 50m matches in chilly but otherwise ideal conditions. The club did an excellent job of organising and hosting the event. A very generous donation of two new black powder pistols from Barry and Son Firearms as prizes made the event even more special. The Murray Districts club is undergoing somewhat of a renaissance of late with a growing membership. The range has 12 turning targets at 25m, static targets at 25 and 50m and a 6 bay air range located in the heritage listed West Coolup hall. There are plans to add an Action Pistol range to the facility in the future.
